Thinking Through Feedback

The things that I recieved that was good advice coming from my peer editers was that I put a lot into my poems. My poems were also real life things and that it basically were good. Another editer told me that they liked most of my poems. Some poems stood out very well. The one where you tell what each letter in your names means, was really nice. Also the poem about “Take my Pain Away” is really nice. I really like the way you express yourself. It helps me understand the type of person you are. Also another editer feedback was good titles which go along with your poems. I used a lot of details which helped readers know what were going on. My poems were good and it kind of made my peer revisers relate to them.

My bad feedback is I needed to go back, reread, and add your periods, commas, etc.. Another revisers said that for improvement she think I should make a better cover page. My format was great, but she think I should change it and have a picture. As a matter of fact, she said that I should change the cursive writing and make it print because the cursive makes it harder to read. She said she wasn’t able to read one of the words, so I should take in consideration to change my font. Also, my last reviser wrote that the next time I should make my poems longer. She wrote that I should also make an interesting cover page the next time. She also said that I needed to check spelling, grammar, and the next time to proof- read. She wrote that I shouldn’t have spaced out each line in my poems, and that they should’ve been longer and not spaced because it makes your poems seems like you didn’t put a lot into it.

Self- Reflecting

The things I learned is this class is how to make creative thoughts appear on paper. This class taught me how to write about different generes and to actually make it great literature. I learned how to expand my imagination and to bring creativity, and also knowledge through my work. I became a writer in this class, and this lets me know that I can become anything I put my mind into. I learned how to identify myself through writing. This class has taught me to open up my horizons and think of ideas beyond the box. I learned how to write for a lengthy time without becoming bored with my own writing. See, writing can be a great thing depending on how well you use your time doing it. Everybody can be aspiring writers depending on how you perserve yourself. This class taught me how to open up my inter character and bring it out on paper. I learned how to make my story have a message teaching lessons to people. My writing has experiences beyond it meaning that everything I’ve wrote has been long- lived through personal experiences. You could never judge something unless you have experience it first. My writings come from within, and they means a great deal to me. I learned how to navigate my writings into the ways I want them to go. I learned how to grasp my audiences’ attention, and to make them appreciate my writings, and to recognize true work. In this class, I learned how to think and bring creative thoughts onto paper. In Creative Writing, I learned how make my writings seems as though it’s a movie, and not a paper full of words. By being in this class, my writings has become a long way, and now I truly consider myself as a writer.

My Proposal

For my writing assignment, I chose to write a chap book of poetry over all of my other writing options. I chose a chap book of poetry because personally I just don’t feel like doing the other things because it’s to time consuming. Yeah, you might think I’m acting lazy, but that’s totally not the case. It’s just that I have a lot on my plate right now, and it’s kind of towards finals so it’s like I don’t have much time to write anything that’s longer than a chap book of poetry. My poetry will be a based upon my emotions and the way I feel inside. Although, I have other options as well for my chap book of poetry but I’m leaning towards writing about the way I feel because those are moments that I held dearest to my heart. I plan on creating a simple poetry book, but not so simple that it’s boring to read. My poetry book will be captivating, yet it will stand out as well. Their will be a problems and emotions in my poetry because personally I don’t think nothing is well done without having a problems presented. I mean in order for someone to be attracted to your work, you have to have a motivation that gets them to take notice. With having a motivation it also has to be a problem as well because poetry or any type of writing has to keep a person attention at all times. I’m not really going to give out to many details about my poetry book because I want it to come as an alarm, and once I post it I want people to just read without knowing what it’s about because that will just give the excitement away. The theme of my poetry will be self- explanitory. It will teach a lesson to you, and it will forever be remember by all. It will express some of my deepest thoughts and emotions. It will show how I really feels.

My Fairytale

My fairytale that I’m previously working on is coming along fine. It’s a story about how a monster loses her pet which she head gently to her heart, and that basically makes her turn against the whole community. The monster soons learns ways to decieve her community by taking their powers and turning them against the community. The community was so distraught that they soon confided into their hero who they knew would rescue them. The hero stood up against the monster, and proved to the community that they can rise against the evil and be heroes for once in their lifetime.

While writing this fairytale, I thought that maybe it wouldn’t be good because I’m not used to writing fairytales. I’m not saying that I can’t write fairytales because I believe that with time and patience I could write fantasys very good. However, I’m not use to fantasys because in my world fantasys are not something that happens often. Fantasys are stories that happens with happy endings and I wasn’t quite sure on how to relate myself in those same circumstances. As I continues my fairytale, it is somehow becoming clearly that I can get use to fairytales and relate them somehow to my realistic state of mind.

My Power Word

A word that I’ve chose for my power word is Benignity. It means kindness, goodness, harmlessness, and an act of charity. I believe that this word represents me because I feel that I possesses all of these qualities that this word stands for. I also chose benignity for my power word because I love the way it sounds. The way the word seems to roll off my tongue also possesses my good qualities as well. You know I could have chosen a much simplier word to represent me, but personally I felt that I should have a word to describe myself that can somehow grasp people’s attention and to get them to wondering what does that estranged word means. I am a kind person who has goodness in every way. I am a harmless indivdual who would never hurt anyone intentionally. I have a gracious amount of charity ranging from spending my money on someone or simply just giving to a person even without accepting pay back. In three sentences I just sumed up the word benignity which best descibes me. Benignity is a word with great meanings behind it which represent me to the full capacity. My word benignity intrigues me to do greater, and to never lack my qualities.

If I Could Write a best-seller……

If I could write a best-seller, it would be fiction, I’ll write a fiction realistic story because I can relate to it more. Realistic fiction seems more real, and it fits more of into my society. I’m not saying that non-fiction stories are boring because I like reading things that are a true story but however I’m used to reading realistic fiction novels. They intrigues me and gain my interest level. Although at times, the covers of the stories may get you to being judgemental, however they’re books with meaningful lesson behind them. I feel that a person should never judge a book by its cover because you’ll never know the content of it. I would also write a fiction story, and it will be a bestseller because my writings are what makes me. My writings stands out to the capacity and cause people to take notice and recognize true talent. I also believe that my book will be a best-seller because I believe that I have the strength to make others gain my attention, and show me recognition. My book will be realistic because I believe that people can relate to a reality of it more. It will somehow put people in a more comfort zone because they will be use to it. It will help others on how they can prevent or solve the situation if they was ever to get it in. My book will teach a meaningful lesson to people.

My Fairy-Tale…………. A Happy Ending?

From my experience of writing a fairytale, I thought my literature was going to be horrible, because personally I’m not a huge fan on writing fairytales. As you know fairytales are not something that intrigues me at all. I guess I don’t like fairytales because its not something that happens often. It’s a dream and sometimes not all dreams comes true. Fairytales are meant for people with fantasys.

However, I think my fairytale is good. It felt as though I was just writing a regular story with events that happened in real-life. Somehow, it came quite natural to me to just write a story free heartly. By writing my fairytale, I feel as though I am actually becoming a great writer. I’d challenged myself to write different literatures interesting, and I think I’ve mastered it.

I chose to make my fairy tale a happy ending because I believe that a fairytale isn’t complete unless it has a happy ending. I also chose to make my fairytale a happy ending because in my world, all things doesn’t usually turns out for the best. So I want to create a happy ending in somebody else’s worlds. Although, it didn’t mean much to my world, it somehow put me at ease to know that all bad things sometimes end with a happy ending.

After Two Weeks….

After two weeks, I would say that I have improved tremendously as a writer because I tends to put a little more effort in my writing. I tend to add more quality in my writing. I try to make it seem as though it’s actually a movie instead of a paper with words. My writings influences me to bring more and to never hide the fact that I can be an inspiring writer. My writings tells me that even not all good writers can rise and make good literature.

While free-writing it shows that I can let my mind wander places and make their own stories. Writing also has showed me that writing is just more than words, they are who you really are. They expresses your views on certain situations. They lures people to your own personal thoughts and beliefs. Writing has showed me that everything is done for a purpose no matter the extent of it all, and now I’m taking that in full consideration.

Am I A Writer?

No, I don’t consider myself a writer because I’m not an excellent master in that subject yet. I would say that I enjoy writing, and that I have wrote great pieces of literature but overall I don’t consider myself a writer because it’s not something that yearns me. Yes, I like to do it if necessary but writing excellent literature is something that I have yet to master. I’m working on improving my writing skills, and until I have completed that task then I would admit that I’m a writer. I also doesn’t consider myself a writer because writing is not something I do on regularly basis. In order to be a successful writer, you have to do it regularly and diligently and that’s something I haven’t done. In due process, I hope to become a well accomplish writer.

At times I would like to consider myself a writer because in all I believe that I write good literature, but that still doesn’t make me a writer. I’m a firm believer that in order to be a good writer you have to have a passion for it. To be a writer, it has to come from within because you can’t just wake up and say you’re a writer, you have to wake up knowing that with time and patience you can be a writer. I lack several qualities of being a good writer, but with practice I believe that I can be a writer. Hopefully, with this Creative Writing Class it will enable me to write great literature and to help me think of it as an upcoming writer.
